Everyone put your hands in your mouth:
Silly Smiles:3 Peas in a Pod:Since today is my sister Lacey's birthday I want to share some of my favorite pictures of my sisters! Some are below already(Lacey's). I LOVE the one with Lacey and Dawsyn on her back. That was Easter!

This one is of my sister Micalah. She is holding Gracie for the first time. This picture is so special to me because when Micalah walked into my hospital room and saw me holding Gracie she started to cry because she was so happy and it was the sweetest thing ever. She new how long I waited for Gracie and she was so happy for us. I LOVE YOU CALAH!
Ana was also SO excited to meet Gracie, sadly she had to work the evening my mom and Micalah came to see Gracie and was so devastated. She sat on the phone with me for a long time being sad, so she was more then thrilled when she got to finally see Gracers the next day:
Mally and Spencer meeting Gracie:

There's many more cute cute pictures of the Aunties, but they are not on my computer. I will have more of those to share soon.

This is Noah eating a cookie:

Mwahhh...Apprently we are pretty good at being deceptive!!

An update about our deceptively delicious ways!! It's working. We have managed, for the most part to get extra veggies in our boys' diets. First I tried it in some Mac N Cheese. I added sweet potatoes and carrots, and they ate it up. I was surprised to find that it made it much more creamy. I used just a regular box of Kraft. We also made turkey burgers with broccoli. Although, Connor new something was up, so we had to tell him, but they all ended up eating them up. We have added other stuff to pancakes, hamburger helper, and pumpkin bread. I'm excited every time I can add something somewhere and they wouldn't know the difference.

Funny story. We had bought some veggie burgers the other day while out shopping. We thought we would give them a try. Well, one night I thought hey, lets tell the kids we are having burgers and just make them veggie burgers with cheese and they wouldn't know the difference. BOY was I wrong. Connor sat there for the longest time trying to make out what the heck he was trying to choke down. Dawsyn took one look and jetted out of the kitchen and Noah took one bite and wasn't having any of it. So, needless to say we weren't very good that night at being deceptive. They were on to us. Don't worry we made a different dinner that night.

In other news. Noah just started with a new speech therapist. I really like her A LOT. She is very nice and I feel confident that she knows the direction to take with him. He had his first appt. last Wed. and she got to see a little of every side of him. She felt like he needed OT as well, and luckily for us they have an OT(Occupational therapy) at their office so we have an evaluation on Halloween! To be quite honest, I'm a bit stressed with all the appointments and co-pays, but I want to help make this easier on Noah, and if these therapies will help him, I will do it. I just feel a bit overwhelmed when I think about Dr. appointments for Noah and Gracie, weekly Speech and OT, it feels like so much. Taking Connor to school, picking him up and getting 3 kids in and out of car seats and into appt's. But you do what you have to do and I keep chugging forward. "I think I can, I think I can."

Like today, I had to make sure Connor looked sharp for picture day, doing his hair and threatening his life if he got anything on his clothes(just kidding of course). Got him to school, praying that Noah and Dawsyn will nap early because Noah has speech at 1pm, then I have to get back here to pick up Connor from school only to speed, I mean drive the speed LIMIT, to a Dr. appt for Gracie at 4pm. It's a lot of in and out of the car today and hopefully they will behave, but that is something I can almost guarantee to NOT happen. But for now I'm going to think positively. (Kinda).

It's 10am and I already can't wait to lay my head down for the night. Of course it's all worth it. I love my job, it just has good days and bad days and days where I sometimes think "what were you thinking" 3 under 3. On those day's I take in every smile and laugh. It's what gets me through. Oh, and the "I love you" sign Dawsyn's little hands made at me this morning.

I am blessed!

Deceptively Delicious......Hopefully!

I saw the episode of Oprah when Jessica Seinfeld was on talking about her book, "Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets to Get Your Kids Eating Good Food" and was intrigued. Like her I hear almost nightly about how awful veggies are to eat. So, we are starting the process. I wanted to make Gracie's baby food anyways and she is just about ready to be eating solids. I don't know how much of the recipes I will use, I mostly want to just add puree's to food I already make. Here's hoping I can be good at deceptively feeding my children veggies. Wish us luck!

God Is Good, God Is SO Good!

I became an auntie again for the 5th time early this morning and had the great pleasure of witnessing him come into this world and take his first breath. It was amazing!

Carsyn Paul was born 1:37am weighing 8lbs 15oz and 19 and a half inches. He looks just like his daddy. He is healthy and doing great. My sister Mal did AWESOME! I got to the hospital at midnight, she was getting her epi, so I had to wait to go in and see her. Finally around 12:30 I got to go in and the nurse checked her and she was a 5. Around 1:10 she said her water broke, and the nurse comes in to check her and says DON'T PUSH, baby was right there. She had to hold off pushing until Dr. got there about 15 mins later, she pushed 3 or 4 times and he was here. Very quick. Everyone is doing well and it was such a blessing to witness.

Thank you Mally and Steven for allowing me to be there and share this special day with you guys. I love you both so much! Happy Birthday Carsyn, Auntie loves you and your cousins can't wait to meet you.

Celebrating God's miracles today!!

His #1 Fan....

My husband wrote an interview with Kyle Cease for Punchline Magazine. We went to Kyle's one hour special taping back in March. It's going to air on Saturday, Oct. 13th at 11pm (pst) on Comedy Central, who also posted bits from his article. I'm so excited for him and wanted to share. Writing and Comedy are both passions Chase has and I am so excited that he is getting to fulfill some of them.

Just wanted to say Congrats Honey! I love you and am celebrating with you!

L-O-V-E

I just wanted to share some of the things I love most. Not "things" but the moments in life where your heart is filled with smiles and it's the most simplest of things.

~One of my sister's came over today, Mallory. Mal is due any moment with my 4th nephie, her 2nd son. I LOVE the thought of new life. I love knowing that God knitted together this little human being for such amazing and great things. I LOVE that my boys' get to spend time and play with their cousins. They have such a great time doing kid things together.

~I LOVE the look on my kids' faces when in walks one of their aunties that they haven't seen in a few weeks and the love that they are smothered with.

~Meme took Connor to Northwest Trek this summer, I LOVE that he can't stop talking about it.

~Gracie looks at you in your eyes, deep deep in your eyes. The deep, "you hold my life in your hands" look. I LOVE to feel and know such trust and love.

~I LOVE that my husband is a "hands on" daddy! In our house, mommies boy's or daddies boy's doesn't really apply. They get that attention that they desire from their daddy.

~I went to see my friend Anne yesterday. I LOVE that I have a friend that I can be stupid with. Saying the stupidest stuff, loosing track of thoughts and she can still "get" me.

Those are just a few "I LOVES" for today!! What's your simple yet so meaningful "I LOVES?"

Healthy Habits.....Hopefully!

So, I along with a few other women and their husbands, are doing a contest called "Healthy Habits." It's about 3 months long and has a whole list of things to follow. I did this while I was pregnant and needless to say, lost...bad, and was horrible at making them "habits". I had been begging my friend to set up another one and she finally has. There is no better time to get healthier habits then now, so let the games begin.

We officially started Monday Oct. 8th, and I did well. Although, using my cell phone while driving and eating my one treat before 10 am sucked and lost me a point, I did manage to get some exercise points for cleaning my carpets(woo hoo!)

Hopefully it will only get easier. Got to go, my water is calling me....

Sabrena

PS. If your interested in "Healthy Habits," let me know. I will email you what our "rules" look like so you can get an idea and maybe start up a group to do Healthy Habits with too!!!

Bumbo's aren't for DUMBOS!!!

On the box it states WARNING: DO NOT USE ON RAISED OR EVEN UNEVEN SURFACES, AS A CARSEAT, IN THE BATH OR IN OTHER WATER. BUMBO IS HAPPIEST ON THE FLOOR.

AND heres the kicker...DEPENDING ON THE PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT AND AGE OF THE CHILD SOME BABIES WILL BE ABLE TO MOVE OUT OF THE BUMBO, SO NEVER LEAVE CHILD UNATTENDED.

I came across this article on babycenter. The baby was placed in the bumbo on the table, according to the dad, right next to him and wiggles out and onto the floor below. Sadly, he fractured his skull. Now they are suing Target(where they bought the bumbo) and Bumbo.

I get frustrated with people like this. The need we have as humans, to blame someone or something for EVERYTHING. There are accidents and sadly I think this is one of those case's where a parent made a choice, and it was a bad one.

Hopefully this can serve as a reminder for us all out there with this seat, who are guilty of putting it up on tables, to not do so in the future. Especially if the child is unattended. As Bumbo says, "BUMBO IS HAPPIEST ON THE FLOOR."
